Pungalina sanctuary exhibition. It is not possible to share the collection of the exhibition with anyone under the age of 18. The Pungalina"s secret room, in the south of the museum, is located near the entrance to the second floor where there are two rooms. There is an empty space between the door and the wall. Southeast of the museum, there is a stone wall which was used during the 17th century by the ancient Romans, to prevent their enemies from entering the room. The room holds only several artefacts of the temple"s history, some of which date back to the 4th to the 10th century BC. Pungalina"s Secret Room, near the entrance, the Pungalina sanctuary. Image: Erika Bücke The Pungalina also has a secret room in the south of the museum where, although it seems like a hidden museum, there is a large stone coffin. There is nothing there except for the small table. At this location the Pungalina is a very traditional place for guests to stay. Visitors are not allowed to approach the coffin, however a small wooden cross can be placed on the side of the coffin to help visitors to feel close to it. From 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., an audience of 8 or 9 people will attend the service for 15 minutes. The congregation of the Pungalina is the largest religious congregation in Austria. At the beginning of the service, a priest will recite a sacred word. The audience, composed of at least seven persons, must be silent for this entire service and it is the congregation"s responsibility to give their consent prior to joining the rest of the congregation in the service. "I pray for you to make an offering before the service begins, so do whatever you can to make the most of it." – Hilarius the Confessor, Book IV, Book IV, p. 31. Each of these 15-minute service periods takes about 20 minutes. It is impossible to offer any other form of religious, but visitors who are unable to participate, and do not wish to observe these 15-minute times during the service, will be excused from the service.
