As far as I love hostels and other types of inexpensive accommodation, there"s something nice about the luxuriousness of a hotel: the clean room, comfy bed, dining table, iron, strong shower, and bottled soap to the taking (errr...I mean borrowing). They are quiet, relaxing, and a respite from the world.
A few years back, I was traveling to conventions and other work-related events alot and staying in a whole lot of hotels. I resolved to see if I could locate the hotel booking site on the web. I chose a couple cities and searched six reservation websites -- Expedia, Mytravelnavi.com, Booking.com, Hotwire, Priceline, and TravelPony -- at two -, 3-, and also 4star categories.

Well, Orbitz and Travelocity are part of Expedia and make use of the database, and they tilted more to the larger end of the purchase cost spectrum while a high numbers of results switched back.
