the award could look like thisSo! The literary award "Russian Science Fiction" has just appeared and it has been widely criticized over the Net. We are fed up by answering the same questions for 33 times and for the "Interpresscon" we created a list of frequently asked questions and gave it to every participant.

QUESTION: What's the scheme of the award?
ANSWER: In two words - the first round is the open voting on the nominational list of the Interpresscon in the Internet, that figures three pretenders. In the second round a secret vote among the "Russian sci-fi" server editors is held. The chairman of the returning board is Maksim Moshkov, co-chairman - Vladimir Borisov. For more detailed info see "Award statute" .the award could look like this

QUESTION: Why not abandon the second round? Let the Internet choose the winner!
ANSWER: Let's be realists, not populists. Look at the statistics of visitors on writers' pages (at our server, Moshkov's library etc). If we abandon the second round, each year the award will go to Lukyanenko. Such an award is not interesting to anyone.

the award could look like this QUESTION: Your award is built upon the nominational list of "Interpresscon". Will it lead to awarding the same writers who receive "Interpresscon"?
ANSWER: The schemes of voting are really similar, but totally different audiences vote. Today 75% of sci-fi fans in the Internet are senior pupils, students, and young people before 35 with higher education (popularity of Lukyanenko and the first round vote results are an extra proof of that). This award is from the young audience and for the young audience. If the results coincide - praise the author.

QUESTION: Why don't you abandon the first round?
ANSWER: Because we popularize sci-fi in Internet for many years, also among the youth. See the previous answer.

the award could look like this QUESTION: You ought to change the award in this and this way!
ÎÒÂÅÒ: Thanks for your interesting thoughts but your ideas are significantly different from what we want. In fact if we realize them - it will be ANOTHER award. To not make anyone unhappy, we recommend you to organize such an award. More awards, good and different! If the ideas will be close to us, we may realize such an award together.

QUESTION: Will the award be widened?
ANSWER: Of course! This year a lot of money went for creating the model of the award (and it was worth it!). Next year we will have two or three nominations.
